For 20 years, Quick-Quench Bottom Drop Furnaces have been the industry standard to solution heat-treat aluminum to specifications that call for +/ 5 F temperature control and a 5 second quench. They are also used to heat treat ferrous metal parts for those who want the convenience and space savings offered by the quench tank located under the furnace.
Periodic redesigns assure these furnaces are always cost effective and efficient and will meet the most rigorous heat-treating specifications in effect. To best suit a shop layout, the quench tank may roll beneath the door or from side to side. Moreover, a single quench may service two or more furnaces.

Construction
The lining is 6" to 8" of Fiber-Space light weight ceramic fiber construction for fast heat up and cool down. The horizontal opening door rolls easily on an inclined track. The door seal is adjustable and is as long lived as the refractory lining. Pneumatic door opening and load basket descent is standard on large units. Small units can be manually operated.
Controls
Highly accurate microprocessor-based programmable temperature controls are standard on all systems, with integrated sequencing and alarm annunciation. Controls are mounted either in a free standing or wall-mounted enclosure, depending on the size of the system. Remote monitoring and data-logging via computer is a popular option.
