The term Lehr refers to a annealing glass kiln / furnace where the products are transported through the system with a conveyor belt. To achieved desired temperature profiles, the system has heating and cooling zones of various lengths.
Lehr and belt belt furnaces are built for up to 1600 deg. Higher temperature can be achieved in car tunnel furnaces and roller hearth furnaces
